We specialise in personalised gifts, homeware, engraving, sublimation and custom-made products.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from our website, you agree to these terms, which do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
 
1. About Us

Very Crafty Thoughts (VCT) is a UK-based small business operated by Gary Flinn as a sole trader.

We create and sell personalised gifts, engraved items, homeware, custom metal signs and other individually designed products.

Customers can contact us by emailing gary.vct@mail.com or using the contact form on our website.

2. Placing an Order

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided when placing an order is accurate, including:

• Names and personalisation details

• Spelling, dates and wording

• Delivery addresses

• Colour and design choices

• Any special instructions

We will endeavour to fulfil orders exactly as requested.

If we are unable to fulfil an order, we will contact the customer and arrange an appropriate refund.
 
3. Personalised and Made-to-Order Products

Many of our products are created specifically for individual customers.

Customers should carefully check all personalisation details before submitting an order.

We cannot normally offer free replacements or refunds where an error results solely from incorrect information supplied by the customer.

If you notice an error after placing an order, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to accommodate changes before production begins.

If we make an error or the finished product does not match the agreed specifications, your statutory consumer rights remain fully protected.
 
4. Customer-Supplied Images and Designs

Some products allow customers to submit their own photographs, artwork, logos or designs.

Where image uploads are not available directly through checkout, customers may be directed to our designated artwork-upload service.

By submitting artwork, customers confirm that they own the necessary rights or have permission to use the material for the requested purpose.

We reserve the right to decline designs that are unlawful, offensive or infringe another party's intellectual property rights.

We may make reasonable adjustments to image dimensions, positioning or formatting to accommodate the selected product.

Customers should provide clear, high-resolution images wherever possible.

Where significant image-quality concerns are identified, we may contact the customer before production.
 
5. Production Times

Our standard production time is approximately 3–5 working days after receiving all necessary order details, including personalisation instructions and artwork.

Working days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

Production times are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates.

Complex designs, busy periods or unforeseen circumstances may occasionally result in longer production times.

If a significant delay is anticipated, we will contact the customer.

Delivery times are additional to production times.
 
6. Delivery

We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only.

Delivery charges will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.

Delivery estimates depend on the selected delivery service and destination.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.

If an order is delayed, damaged or does not arrive, please contact us so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.

We remain responsible for goods until delivery to the customer or a person nominated by them, subject to applicable consumer law.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered within the timeframe required by UK consumer law.
 
7. Prices and Payments

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

Applicable delivery charges will be shown before checkout is completed.

Payment must be made using one of the accepted payment methods available on our website.

We reserve the right to update product prices without notice.

Price changes will not affect orders already accepted.
 
8. Cancellations and Returns
 

Non-Personalised Products

Customers purchasing standard, non-personalised products online generally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their order.

Customers must notify us of cancellation within this period and return the goods within a further 14 days.

Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods.

Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Personalised Products

Products made to a customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised are generally excluded from the statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.

This includes products featuring personalised names, messages, photographs, logos or individually requested designs.

However, personalised products remain covered by statutory consumer rights if they are faulty, damaged, incorrectly made or not as described.

Products are not automatically exempt from cancellation rights simply because they are made after an order is placed.

Cancelling Before Production

If you wish to cancel or amend a personalised order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where production has not begun, we will endeavour to accommodate cancellation requests.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

We carefully prepare and inspect our products before dispatch.

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Providing an order number, description and photographs will help us investigate.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, we will arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund.

Nothing in these terms limits rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
 
10. Handmade Products and Natural Variations

Many of our products are handmade, engraved or individually finished.

Minor variations may occur in:

• Wood grain and natural materials

• Colour and texture

• Engraving appearance

• Positioning and finish

These variations are part of the character of handmade products and do not necessarily indicate a fault.

All products must nevertheless remain of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
 
11. Product Care and Usage

Customers should follow any product-specific care instructions provided.

Certain products may not be suitable for dishwashers, microwaves or prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions.

Products advertised as suitable for outdoor use are intended for normal outdoor conditions, although lifespan may depend on installation, maintenance and environmental exposure.

12. Intellectual Property

All original website content, photographs, branding and designs created by Very Crafty Thoughts remain our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

They must not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

Customers retain ownership of their own original photographs, artwork and designs.

By submitting artwork for personalisation, customers grant us permission to use it as reasonably necessary to fulfil their order.

We will not use customer-supplied photographs or designs for unrelated promotional purposes without appropriate permission.
 
13. Privacy and Personal Information

We collect and process personal information necessary to fulfil orders, arrange delivery, respond to enquiries and provide customer service.

This may include names, contact details, delivery addresses, order information and customer-supplied artwork.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

14. Website Availability

We aim to keep our website accurate, secure and accessible.

Occasionally, technical issues, maintenance or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect website availability or order processing.

We will take reasonable steps to resolve any issues promptly.
 
15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our business, products or legal requirements.

The terms applicable to an order will normally be those in effect when the order was placed.
 
16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.

Nothing in these terms restricts customers' statutory rights or their ability to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
